About HCCFF

Handle Climate Change Film Festiva (HCCFF) is the first film festival held in China concerns on climate change, it has been successfully held in Shenzhen for seven sessions. HCCFF consists of several components, film selection, forums, lectures, screenings, workshops, and promotion in the UN Climate Change Conference.

HCCFF is committed to spreading the knowledge of climate change and raising public awareness of low-carbon lifestyles. HCCFF’s long-term mission is to create an eco-platform that forges links between filmmakers, environmental experts, campaigners, policymakers, businesses, energy industry leaders to share ideas, and collaborating practices and thus create a green and sustainable future.

Within eight years, HCCFF has made some achievements. As an excellent case of “extensive public participation in addressing climate change”, HCCFF has been included in China’s Policies and Actions for Addressing Climate Change for five years from 2017-2022. HCCFF won the honor of " Typical Green Low Carbon Cases" awarded by the MEE in 2021 and awarded as “Top 10 Public Participation Cases” by the MEE and Civilization Office of the Central Communist Party Committee in 2022.

With China's deep involvement in international climate change issues, HCCFF has grown maturely and shown the world the Chinese attitude toward creating a sustainable future on the stage of the UN as well as our daily practices.
